Oh Bugger! PC Help please

I have been trying to load Linux Mint onto an old Dell machine today without much success. I got the PC to boot to disc - fine!

Linux loaded and i heard the 'done' music but the screen was blank. Tried everything but to no avail. so i shut the machine down by holding in the on/off button and re started with the linux disc in the CD tray and all i get is:

X300 SE 128MB Bios P/N 113-A33406-100

it wont boot to the bios or anything!!!!

I don't mind if i have to format the disc as i have the Dell install disc and Linux to try!

Any ideas peeps????

Many thanks in advance

Thats what i'm thinking It's fairly new as in it's been in my spare Dell PC for 8 months or so but i never use that machine, it's just a dust collector!

Disconnect everything from the motherboard & see if just motherboard, ram & video card (if fitted) will boot to BIOS, if they do start adding bits back till it stops, if they don't then one of them is the culprit - at least you'll know where you are then.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I AM SUCH A DOOFUS!!!!

Because Linux wouldn't load properly i fiddled with the jumpers on the back of the CD Rom and DVD drives. I must have not put them back properly. All working now.

Thanks anyway
