ot rock band or guitar hero poll
whats better rock band or guitar hero.
Really like the sound of these games but not sure which to go for will be for the ps3 but would of thought they are the same on other formats

Depends on which one your on about?
ive got:
GuitarHero 2
Guitar Hero 3
Guitar Hero World tour
RockBand 1
Guitar Hero 3 guitar ( Wireless Les paul)
Guitar Hero world Tour Band set ( New style guitar, drum kit, Microphone)
i personally think the World tour hardware is the best, but gamewise im stuck between guitarhero 3 & rockband.
the main differences being Guitar hero 3 is lead guitar & Bass only. Rock band has the full band you can play as

Guitar hero all the way. 3 (Legends of Rock) has some classic tracks, but is only guitar and bass. 4 (World Tour) has a lot more modern rock on but
you can have guitar, bass, drums and singer.
Both excellent and very addictive. Just moved on to hard difficulty on both...

I've not played rock band so I can't give you a comparison, however I bought guitar hero world tour last week and have been glued to it
since.
Good mix of classic tracks and some quite good new stuff I'd never heard of... and it's extremely addictive. If you go for guitar hero
you certainly won't be disappointed.

Just ordered Guitar Hero World Tour Complete Band kit after playing at a mates the other evening.
Was trying to work out whether to get it for the xbox or the Wii (same price at HMV in your highstreet and Amazon).
Then I noticed the Wii one came with a second guitar @ Amazon.
PS If you join the Amazon Prime trial, you get free next day delivery...

PS for the Wii, you need one Wiimote for each instrument (Except microphone)

re PS3 hardware, I believe you can use the rock band guitar with guitar heroes 3 and 4, the GH3 guitar will not work with rock band whereas the GH4
one will. Doeas that make sense?
I'm in the GH camp, mainly cos that's what i've got!! Completed easy with gold stars on everything, will not move on to hard until I
can gold star the mediums!!
I'm 95% plus on all of 'em so far!!
