one for the ubuntu tech heads!
dumped vista and now running on ubuntu and everything I use the computer for is great except 1 thing..
Some folk I know chat in a chatroom on chatshack.net
except it wont run for me I've got it to bring up the login screen but after that it just hangs..
Any ideas???

Are you using firefox with a suitable java app installed?
Also.. does that website use any weird ports that your ubuntu firewall is blocking?

It could be something missing from ubuntu -- I regard Ubuntu as the equivalent of an early Beta release a lot of things get broken in it. ---
which is why Mint has become popular it lags a few months behind Ubuntu versions but everything works..
You can run IE6 on ubuntu or just about any other Linux. see
