Go to Vidahost... buy their basic shared hosting package....
Choose a domain name...javascript:quote()
And upload a basic page...
I have done just that for a company..
Their webpage will follow shortly..

I use Easily.co.uk
You will own the domain name, and they have people you can speak to on the phone.
Watch out for companies where you dont end up owning the name. They will hold you to ransome if you want to move or host it elsewhere.
Easily were reccomended by a colleague who has been registering and managing Domain names for over 15 years.
I've not had any problems in 5 years of having my Domain names.

www.doteasy.com is a good place to start. Search on the domain name you want, register it and then they'll give you some free webspace to host
your site. They have a selection of web tools to help you including hit counters etc. Dead easy, very reliable and good help service when needed.

ditto www.1and1.co.uk - search for your domain name, if it's available you can register it via them, then there's various packages from
just email use, DIY web site, prepackaged website, etc.

I use Orchard to buy and host my sites.
Download the free 30day trial of WYSIWYG web page maker. So easy to use, and so cheap if you buy.

I second Orchard Hosting (www.orchardhosting.co.uk) for both domain name and webhosting.
Been with them since 2001 for all my sites and referrals and they have never let me down.

do a google for LCN --- low cost names
Important when choosing name parking or hosting that your hosting company gives you a decent online control panel to customise your email redirection
and other features such as junk filtering and virus screeing.
