Hmm, so that was it

Took me the best part of an hour to get from Farnborough to Godalming - A31, B3000 all stuffed. Still, saw some class cars stuck in the traffic, obviously on the way back from Goodwood (in addition to the usual Surrey-mobiles)

Weather was super and the entertainment was awsome but guess what pratt forgot his free tickets . But we were "lucky" they took my £33 for each ticket, "we are not supposed to sell tickets on the gate you know".

I've just got home! Left at three so I didn't get caught in the rush hour on the m25. The rolled truck messed that plan up.

Couple more accidents on the m25 and then booted it backup to nottingham.

Goodwood was great but spent more time in the tin top!

What a great day out.
The missus is a little red and so is my face but other than that it was superb.
Took nearly 500photos as well.
Only took me 15mins to get home

Oh I wish, 3.75hrs, don't you just love the M25, Dartford crossing and the A12.

Proper turned my skin red
Good to catch up with you again John :-)

Spotted Jenson Button on journey there stuck next to us in traffic jam and waved at him, got a wave and smile back, which kind of impressed the mrs and inlaws
(Range Rover with private plate)

Hung out at Molecombe for most of the afternoon whilst the inlaws and mrs went off for a mooch, saw the Audi go in too hot...ooops, driver OK but car not looking too good. Those hay bales are harder than they look

Inlaws enjoyed it
Mrs was a bit upset the she didn't get to see her beloved Sebastian Loeb

I thought it was much busier than the previous years and took a bit more crowd surfing and patience to see what I wanted to...maybe it was my bad timing tho?
Didn't take any photos this year

Journey there took 3 1/2 bleedin hours
(usually takes 45 mins tops from here)

journey back pretty good though as we left slightly earlier this year, rather than with the masses at the death

Yep definitely busier than last year on the Friday so the weekend could be well packed.

Tip if the weather is hot. The rally section is mostly under the trees and the upper paddock had a nice breeze being right at the top.

Oh and take your own water (there are taps to refill) and especially food as the prices are high. Cost me £2 in total for the day as I couldn't resist an ice cream (someone else drove this year) so a very locost days entertainment!

Great day out, took 1 1/2 hours to get there but 3 1/2 hours to get home got caught up in the overturned lorry traffic on the A3 but then took a detour around it all through the sticks

Jesse James's off road thing was insane!

drove down the night before (over 3 hours). Slept in a camp site 20 minutes away. Up at 6:20, out the site at 7:01 (they only allow you out at 7am). At goodwood for 7:20am. Left at 5:10ish in the evening and home for 9pm.

My first time and I LOVED IT.

Just sorting photos now (480ish - hopefully one or two will be decent).

Sent g/f a txt half way through the day,

1) I want to be a kept man
2) you need a job that pays 4 or 5 times what you're paid now
3) i want an old car.

She then sent a confused text back and I explained by old i was talking 1940's to 1960's classic race car. If we sold her house we might just be able to afford one.

First time for me also and not the last.
An astonishing event this is. So much to see and do.

Got autographs from Sir Stirling Moss, Lewis, Jenson, Glock, W Rörl, Derek Bell and some more. And that only on sunday afternoon.
Took pics of other celebs and of course cars. My memory cards are full so itś about 1000 pics to sort out

A great day out as usual. Saw Jenson driving a Silver Arrow, and Stirling Moss in the McMerc 722 as well as all the usual guest drivers. Also saw Jessica Michibata (Jenson's g/f) in the F1 assembly paddock taking lots of photos of other cars and drivers

I went down to the startline for the first time. It was really noticeable how quiet and unimpressive the supercars (Veyrons, Lambos, McMercs etc) are compared to real racecars. Mind you, most things are unimpressive compared to seeing a 917/30 doing a fullbore launch...
