OT - 32bit programs in windows 7 x64 ?

I've been playing with the 64 bit version of win7 RC and been having some trouble with some of my old 32bit programs
(install / setup files not running etc...)

I was expecting a few issues like this (and I can always use my old machine to run them) - but does anyone know if there is a way round these issues ?

Do you know what version of windows 7 you are running?

and an example of a program whcih doesnt install

I have been running windows 7 for 5 months not and havnt found any programs which wont install on it for me. If you are running ultimate edition you can get windows virtual pc and the XP virtual machine avalible from microsoft (free) and any programs you install on that will appear in the windows 7 start menu as if they were installed on windows 7

Odd, I've had no issues like that with W7.

Right click the exe > properties > compatibility > select a windows version

That might work, depends on luck sometimes, otherwise, it's the xp vm thingumy as pdlewis says.

its the 64bit RC version, which is ultimate

the programs I've had trouble with are mostly games (mostly dos ones that have been mod'd for XP/Vista) - mostly the small downloadable type (*.msi files, dosbox, etc....)
the sort of programs that work fine in vista 32bit, and would probably work fine on win7 32bit....
