PDFs crash firefox

hi,
any experts on here know why when I
click a link that opens a PDF firefox hangs.
Only the new tab freezes.
When I close it out the other tabs are fine
and it carries on normally.
But I then have to open Explorer to go back and get the pdf.

No biggy just a bit annoying.

Cheers

Steven

Second....check your version of Firefox......you need en-GB

Help > About Mozilla firefox > click on that look toward bottom it will tell you there.....

You also get this issue if adobe acrobat is corrupt... it tries to open an instance of the viewer but fails.... thus hanging the initiating browser...

Try uninstalling adobe and putting the latest version in its place

Acrobat works perfectly in all other
applications just not firefox.

The plugins have Adobe acrobat listed
and when I look at the full list of add ons
it lists several that are supposed to do the
job but get rubbish reviews.
I dont want to install something full of adware.

It is an enGB version 3.0.16.

Cheers
