Windows 7 problems

Im installing windows 7 on my laptop and having some problems.

It all installs properly up until the final upgrade disc. It does the file transfer of all my old files properly, then when it goes to finish the last upgrade it all stops.

The screen comes up with my old desktop background, but no toolbar or any icons. We cant do anything, it wont boot up in safe mode, when we try it just goes back to the desktop backgorund again. If we try ctrl alt del, the screen just goes blank.

WE had the same problem yesterday, after which we just recovered it back to before starting the upgrade then to try again and it has done the exact same thing.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mikkel

Make sure you install god mode.
Almost tempted to upgrade to 7 just for that geek fest

A clean install is when you wipe your drive at the time of installing Windows. If you only have an upgrade version your probably need your Vista disk at the same time.

IE create a folder, rename it

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

and you get all the available functions in one directory.
