FREE 1.8 Silvertop Bottom end
Bottom end only - free to collector.
This was running (noisily) in my Tiger when i bought it and was the engine needed to pass the SVA. It did not smoke at all.
I simply replaced the whole bottom end with another one from the breakers.
One of the big end bearings loks like it has gone, but the bores and pistons look fine. So with a regrind or crank from another 1.8 donor engine
(perhaps one that has knackerd pistons), it should run fine.
I don't know if it is a 130bhp bottom end, as it has oil squirter blanking plates, which my replacement engine does not have. (Theoretically,
you should be able to bolt in some squirters from a scrap 2.0 engine.
Any its free, or it goes down the tip...
