Broken PC Argh!!

On my other pc i have been messing around with the settings. I was on the main desktop page and i right clicked the mouse then went to what i think was the colour/screen settings and pressed the mouse on some sort of size *** x *** etc. Now my screen went black and says "Cannot Display This Video Mode"?

Can seen to get rid of this screen to change it back to normal.

I really should leave things alone shouldnt i!!

Any ideas?

Im running XP

Please help before SWMBO finds out as she will kick my ****!

REboot to safe mode and change the settings back. The message is your monitor saying you've done something daft

This is your computers way of dumping you. Don't feel bad, there are plenty more fish in the sea.

Also reboot into safe mode (F5 or F8 when booting.... never remember which) Then reset your resolution.

Reboot, and press F8 a lot before the Windows logo appears. Then boot into safe mode and reset your resolution.

In future, if you change the resolution to something your monitor can't display, just wait without pressing/clicking anything and it'll soon swith back to your old setting (because you have not said 'yes please' to it asking you if you're pleased with your nice new setting and want to keep it).
