Browser survey
Further to my recent thread linky here I just wondered what browser everyone
uses?
I like Chrome - I like the look of it and its simplicity. I really like the way I can synchronise it across any pc I use so all my bookmarks and stuff
are where ever I want them.
IE is ok to start with then it gradually gets slower and slower then goes wrong.
Firefox is not much better and it is far from easy to syncronise across pc's and it looks really clunky and old fashioned
Not really tried much else but I would be interested to hear what everyone thinks
Cheers

~I dont have many problems with IE at all really. It can be temperamental, though if youve got a decent machine for it to run on, its ok.

Firefox for me. I didn't like the slowness of IE or the reputed virus-attracting features. I changed over to Firefox a couple of years ago and
have not been disappointed. Lots of nice addons for those who want/need them.
Tried Chrome and it's a little too simple for me and no faster than FF IMHO
Tried Safari and didn't like it; also, it's proprietary like IE

Netscape Navigator 1.0 for me (just upgraded from Mosaic Netscape 0.9 which was a bit slow)
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

I use Firefox on my desktop and laptop and at work. Played with Opera for a while and didn't really get along with it, but seems perfectly
functional.
I use Chrome on my nettop PC (tiny, very quiet, low powered PC I leave on for overnight downloads etc.) as it's noticeably quicker to open and
render than Firefox

FireFox for me ..
There is an add-on which I do use that synchronises all your bookmarks (favourites) and passwords across your pc's/laptops ... its called Xmarks
.... FireFox has many useful add-ons which you can choose to have or not to have.....
FireFox positively screams along for me....for instance this page loaded in 0.664 seconds (FasterFox.....another add-on) ....
None of the others come anyway close in my experience.

Safari if on the Mac
IE if at work
Chrome if on the PC

You serious? I hope I'm thinking of a different one cos I thought my brother was using an outdated version (Netscape 9)
Firefox has the addons for the games I play, otherwise I might be tempted to look around

FF takes an age to start up, but seems quick when browsing. I use Chrome now, no waiting for startup and simple as they come

I tried Xmarks but once installed it wouldn't let me connect to the internet - kept getting message that something else had grabbed my modem -
so uninstalled it and connection back to normal.

Oooeeerrrr.....
Ivan, did you give your firewall permission to let Xmarks connect..... ? .......just a thought...
With some firewalls, you have to 'tell' it that a programme, for example, is ok.....and you can add the programme to the exclusion list of
the Firewall....
