Rescuing Video
Hi all.
Was recording in car video with the GoPro HD last week when things went a little wrong... It would be nice to see what happened but while it recorded
a video file (3gb of) it seems to be corrupt so presumably the card or battery disconnected on impact.
Is there any way of rescuing it? VLC player opens it but plays nothing.
MP4, h264, 30fps 1080p format.
Thanks
Ed

I rescued the video from a corrupted MP4 file - not too difficult if you have a hex editor (I use UltraEdit) and understand how to work in binary and
hex. However, I am yet to find a way to get the audio back
I tried loads of the 3rd party 'rescue' software but they were all next to useless. Google for the necessary MP4 file structure
specifications, and edit it manually. You may get lucky and be able to save it?
Good luck!
