torrenting issues/traffic shaping
Hi techies,
had some broadband issues recently which are now all sorted and I've got good, reliable (touch wood) internet provided by BT business. Speedtest
gives 2Mbps d/l and 0.36Mbps u/l via wireless.
I haven't torrented in months as I've been using a very good media streaming site (ninjavideo) which has just been shutdown. Regularly
stream 500MB-1GB (2+ episode of tv/a film) a night.
Now I've come to use utorrent again and I'm getting no speed whatsoever. Currently connected to 72 seeds and getting an avg d/l speed of
about 1kb/s.
I've encrypted the traffic, portforwarded and used glasnost (http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest.php) to check for any traffic
shaping on my line with everything coming up clean.
Anything else I can try??
Many thanks.

Paying for dc/dvd/downloads instead?
I'm in Vietnam at the moment (for the next three months) and a little shop near me sells dvd quality copies for less than a US dollar each!
Within a week of premiere all the new films are out.
A bird in the hand....
