speakers in laptop
My mum and dad are having a party next weekend, and for music they are using spotify through the laptop then through some big speakers.
Weve tried plugging an AV cable in to the headphone jack on the laptop, but only 2 of the speakers then work. The speaker setup goes through a DVD
player, then goes in to 5 speakers and a sub. so 3 speakers and the sub dont work.
Is there any other way of setting this up to get evrything working?
Cheers

If the signal you are sending to the DVD player is stereo then unless you can change the profile in the DVD player then you will only get two
speakers. However the sub is normally independent so that is a bit puzzling.

When thinking outside the box doesn't work any more, it's time to build a new box

as above, unless you go and buy a USB 5.1 soundcard...and the DVD player has a 5.1 input...
