rear axle

Hi, How close to the old ford axle (escort) is the 2002/2003 ford ranger axle with lsd. is the track the same or near as dam it. could this be used in place iof the escort axle and would it be stronger .

I like your thinking, lsd axle thats only 10 years old for 175 quid

I would think its huge. The six stud drums look very big. The capri axl is plus 4" and I think the sierra is plus 7" from memory.

On this side of the ocean a Ranger is a Ford and The Mazda is a Ford!

The Capri axle may be your better choice, the Ranger on would be a little wide. Check the Brunton Stalker, US made 7 using small Chev pickup parts (about the same size as a Ranger).
