Windows Support Scam
Well that's a first.
A few minutes ago I took a call from some pond life from "window support group". Suggesting that my PC was sending out error messages.
When quizzed about any of these error messages or my OS, he couldn't give me an answer.
He eventually threw me some abuse in a strong Indian accent and hung up.

I've had that one. Strung him along for a while and then told him I was an old man and didn't own a PC. LOL well at least one of the
statements was true ( before anyone else says so)
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I had the same call too a few weeks ago from 'PC Technical Support'. I wasn't previously aware of the scam but got suspicious when
they couldn't tell me any details other than my phone number (which she'd called me on) She wanted me to go to the website
www.teamviewer.com whereby they could gain remote access to my PC and get a technician to fix my problems.
They couldn't give me details of who my service provider was or even if I was online as we spoke. I asked for her name and she replied
"Lisa Carter" in the thickest Indian accent I've ever heard.
All the while I was online and googling the info she gave me and it became obvious this was a scam, so I strung her along for a while and eventually
she hung up after I asked for her contact telephone number.........
Scum

Apparently, they gain remote access to your PC and install free Anti-virus software and other stuff and then menacingly demand payment.

I had a foreign gentleman call me claiming to be from my credit card company, I cracked up laughing when he told me his name was Jude Law and I had to
hang up.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Oh this reminds me that a lot of banks have recently "suspend" my account. I suppose it was just a matter of time before they hit upon a
bank that I actually have an account with, who have stated in writing that they would NEVER contact me by email
I shall have to remember these scammers, see how long I can keep them on for

I had the windows support call as well. Claimed that microsoft were too busy to call me. We had a long conversation about how he had got my details
and what he was going to do about his company's breach of the data protection act. We eventually parted company when I asked him to prove that
he had genuine information by telling me what sort of computer I had. He said that he was not God and as we had eventually found something that we
agreed on, I hung up!

My mum was staying last week and took a cold call on my phone... she has her own way of dealing with them...........
She strings them on for a short while then says "Can I ask you a question?"
when they say yes she asks
"Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal saviour?"
then she starts trying to read them a passage from the bible!
doesnt take long for them to hang up!
