Two screens?

I have a problem with my laptop, Every so often my screen resolution changes to 1280x900 and the only thing on the screen is the desktop picture no icons or toolbar along the bottom. I can move my mouse pointer way past the edge of the screen to the right click then drag icons across its like there is a second screen. On my screen resolution page it shows i have 2 screens but i know i only have one, can i delete the second screen?

Right click on the desktop and select 'properties' if XP or 'personalize' if Windows 7. In there you will find a settings tab to change your display settings.

You will need to de-select the option to use a second screen. That should sort it.

HTH

I just re-read and realised you already see the screen options screen, so just make sure it only uses your laptop display.
