Simple MS Outlook 2007 question (I hope)

How can I get my e-mails to send right away...as soon as I press send?

Right now I press send, and then I have to press send and receive too before anything happens...it didn't always behave like this until our IT guy did something...

Yes, I know I could ask him...but to be honest you guys are probably better and quicker....

Cheers,

Alan
