No sound on downloaded movie

I've downloaded yet another movie from kazaa (all legal and above board you understand), and after a week of downloading it has no sound. This is the case in both Real and WMP, and both have the latest undates.

Anybody got any ideas, as my wife wants to hear Brad Pitt and well as see him

chances are that you just don't have the audio codec (tells the computer how to decode the info it's getting) to play it.

if you could post the full filename and extension, that might be able to help,

if not try downloading This which may do it (one of the more common audio codecs people have problems with)

Tried that file, didn't work - the file extension is just .mpeg, not sure how to find any more details looking at it in Explorer.

Mango - I have a 512kb BB connection, this file is 1.8GB and not many other people had it.

ahh

given that it's an mpeg, it shouldn't be too difficult to deal with.

do you have any dvd player software? that should play it.

huzzah!

the problem with burning mpegs to a cd/ dvd is that sometimes they need to be converted to work properly, which is far more time and effort than needed

Knock the leech off.

type http://www.doom9.org/ in and it will find the site or put divx in google and you will get there. It might not help with your sound problem though as it sounds more likely to be a conflict or driver problem.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
