Where did you get your info from chap?

I'm no coputer expert, but I really doubt there is a virus that can totally burn your hard disk. Most of these things do the rounds occasionally to try and drum up some anti-virus business.

If I'm proved wrong then fine, but I don't use Facebook anyhow so I won't lose too much sleep.

Don't just delete it!

If you send it to 154,792 friends in the next seven seconds an angel will come down and rub your sex parts with a million dollars. But if you don't you'll have bad luck for 20 billion years

On the other hand it really wouldn't be that difficult for a virus to destroy the contents of the hard disk.....

in other words the virus warning e-mail is a sort of virus in its own right
besides 'Olympic_Torch' is a stupid name, even for a virus

edit - I see this even has its own wiki page now:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_Torch_(virus_hoax)

generally, any email saying 'tell everyone' is a load of shite. I say generally, i really mean nearly all the time. I would never forward it anyway, but a quick google always helps prevent the spreading of false information!
