Ubuntu

Any ideas how to get a comp running Ubuntu to show up on the home network? I imagine there'll be some file sharing settings I have to tweak but google's coming up with nothing... It's mostly so we can transfer files and the like.

Thanks in advance

I've done this a few times, but i don't actually remember how to do it! Not that helpful, but it must be really easy if i've forgotten!
