type 9 gearbox oil loss, rear plug?
What do people do when they have a type 9 and want to remove the gearbox? I spilled oil everywhere! I have to remove the prop shaft but need some sort
of plug.

I just use a tray to catch the oil.

Try a latex glove and a zip strap, that will hold most of it back. Also a spare propshaft nose piece from the scrappers maybe.

I just let it go into an old washing up bowl, replace with fresh oil.

for very old school people that still use 35mm film cameras, a film canister and a little tape makes a perfect plug,....
but then who's likely to have any 35mm film canisters about,... lucky me I had one!!!
