RJ 45`s can be hell
Made off millions of connectors in my working life. But the ones that are the worst for getting wrong is ther RJ45. do zillions of em at work and
try to do one in the dark cupboard where all the network gears going . Bum connection snip another one on and check the creeping brown white. crimp
stuffed snip strip crimp and got it right. tester say so. shouldnt do it in the dark! A well mangos got an upgraded computer and a 10 base
network soon to go 100 baseT with netgear router Adsl modem. Moving from the dark ages!!!!!!!!!! at home.

Cables????!!! RJ-45's? That is sooo 2000 my friend!
802.11g mangoman. Move out of the dark ages (or at least get out of the closet...). I recently installed a wireless firewall/router/cable modem that
is wonderfully simple to use.
One of my pet projects is to be a Car PC with a wi-fi adapter. When I park the car near the house or the office I will be able to transfer data
to-from the car system. Car needs a new mp3 playlist? simply make a new one and upload it from the desk to the car. Want to take some files home but
don't want to email them? Transfer them to the car, drive home and access them from the home PC. Datalogging the engine parameters? Analyze them
from the comfort of the desk without using a cable... I will be using a MegaSquirtnSpark for my engine management, with a carputer and a wireless
connection... You get the picture.
But I know what you are saying about the damn cables. Sometimes you make a bad one...

Ive got wifi as well but it doesnt like the compressor start up in the workshop.
I use the wifi for the laptop and the kids computer. As for cables they dont need to much looking after and Its proven technology. I got cable for
nowt and all the plugs for pennies. So very locost. Broadband engineer......K>I>S>S Its works and does not need
batteries. Having the root password helps.
Heard someone complain about slow downloads mmmmmm kid had all his pals in the street on the wifi playing Quake.....LOL
Ouch
