Google Chrome fix

I've been using Chrome for some years now - I really like it.

I use several computers at home or at work and because the chrome is synchronised across them all it is really convenient and easy to set up on a new pc windows or Linux or even my tablet and phone.

Anyway on my main pc at home over the last few weeks I've had a lot of the 'Aw Snap' page failed to load messages on various sites. Google help has some ideas for this - none of which worked. Rather than just use another browser which would mean giving up the synchronisation I gave it I persisited.

I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. In the end after extensive googling I found a tip which was to rename chrome.exe to chrom.exe Unbelieveably this worked.

How can this be?

M

Don't really know to be honest, but a name change may have severed a link to a external process that caused the problem.
