R1 air box mod what do you think ?

Hi guys got a mk indy R1 with the 5pw motor in and power commander,k&n,4-2-1 manifold, I have reversed the air box and cut away the bottom but have never really been happy with it just drawing hot air from under the bonnet so have done the following mods what's your thoughts? Obviously there will be a flexiable link pipe between the two and the original hole in the lower part of the air box re sealed

airbox

Hi
On ours which is a 2001 carbed R1
We reversed the airbox which came out perfect
For the air intakes to be just under the bonnet air scoop.

On my 5PW, I made a custom airbox which used the air vent in the bonnet as a ram air intake.

If it doesn't work - I have a 5PW airbox kicking around in the garage if you need it.
