Quite pleased with my Plusnet FTTC broadband speed.

Last week I final got my Plusnet fibre broadband connected, I had a decent connection before but download speeds are now 7 times faster and upload speed is more than 10 times faster.

These test results were taken over Netgear AV500 network over powerline connection.

very nice - we can only manage 1.8Mb on a really good day, otherwise it's 0.9 (also with plus net)

I'm getting 74Mb down and 18Mb up on my Plusnet FTTC connection which is pretty good on a 80/20 circuit

My BT FTTC is, as you expect, the same speeds as well.

Pretty impressive!

We are moving down to Cornwall in march and BT told us that there was only standard Internet at the address, but when we checked the local pub (actually almost next door! ) it gave Infinity (FTTC) so when we questioned this, apparently there should be no reason we can't upgrade within a couple of days of getting connected for standard internet. Fingers crossed for similar sort of speed

Looks like my PC's network card is the bottleneck. I get 100% network usage on download

BT seem to keep moving the date back for our exchange

at one point it was summer 2013, then Jan 2014, now its May 2014........

then again they haven't even given a date to my mum - it just says under review and shes only 4 miles away!
the best speed they ever got was ~0.6M !
(mind you her dial-up used to struggle to get above 15k )
