Tablet and mobile browsing?
So, I now very rarely power up the PC and just use my new tablet for browsing..
The annoying thing here is sites (not this one) go into their crap mobile version. I don't want this, I want the full fat website!
Are there any settings in the tablet (lenova 10" that I can tweak to avoid this happening?
I would very much like not to have the mobile Facebook as well.......
Cheers,
Steve

depends on the mobile device you are using and the browser. This is a fairly definitive guide:

Most browsers have a 'use desktop version' tick box on their menu. Sadly most don't allow this as default so you may have to select
it after navigating away from the site.
Also, at the bottom (or top) of most larger websites (ebay, yahoo, bbc etc) have a desktop version link.
This stems from android initially being aimed at mobile devices, however the processing, size and speed of most tablets and phones means this should
be less of an occurrence. I've already noticed a lot of site asking first before moving you automatically to mobile sites.

There is also an app that will request desktop site.

Thanks, there is indeed a tick box to request desktop site and instead of using the Facebook android app I'm using the browser to ring the
site.
EBay works OK now and a couple of the other forums I use.

I had this problem the other day with the ticketmaster website. As far as I can see you can't use vouchers on the mobile site and it kept
redirecting me to the mobile version. Very annoying!
