What do you call them and how do I get more

I've got another Sony Xperia xa1 after the screen lost sensitivity on the old one and am trying to set it up as before. It is android os.

On home screen there is apps button, I select that. The old phone had 4 dots to the right of the magnifying glass icon, but new one has 3, these correspond to views of installed apps navigated by swiping left or right.

Firstly what are these called?

Secondly why does my new phone have 3 whereas old one had 4?

I suppose thirdly how do I add another whatever they are called.

Just grab an app by keeping hold of it and then slide it to the right dont let go until it goes to a new screen and then you have 4 dots. Or 5 and so on.

Brilliant, thanks. I did wonder about doing that but didn't think it would work.
