.bmp .jpg
Its nothing major, just more annoying.
Since a few days ago if I right click and Save Picture As... the window displays the picture as an untitled .bmp instead of the named .jpg image.
This is annoying me just a tad. Can anyone help get it back to the way it was? I have tried everything I know (not much) with no joy.

Have you installed a scanner lately Dave?
I had this problem about 7 years ago - turned out to be the resolution settings on the scanner.

Some files are on the web at bmp's anyway, and when you right click them they will want to save as such.
If it happens on all of your pictures (even ones you are sure are jpg's) then make sure you have the jpg format readers on your pc (make sure it
is a registered file type)
As Hellfire says, have you changed anything recently on your pc?

have you tried renaming it as 'xxx.jpg'? this worked for me the other day, just by including the .jpg in the name.
