barcodes
Hi,
I want to be able to print barcodes - not in any massive volume that warrents a special barcoder printer.
Can any of the standard Microsoft office programmes do this for me?
I just need to print them out onto labels.
If not possible with MS office programmes can anyone recommend a FOC download?
Cheers

Barcode font
you just need a barcode font try HERE for a few and some . but bear in mind the bar code needs to
be in the correct format for the reader, this is why there are often a few barcodes on a product
Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

explain some more what you want to do? I've had to do this for testing products and may be able to point you in the right direction.
the key thing to know is what sort of barcode do you want to print? If you don't know that, what do you want to use the bar code for, what
information do you want it to contain? and what will be reading the bar code?

Cheers Chaps,
Its for labeling up boxes for an MOD contract
NSN number
Quantity
Description
Colour
I have asked my customer what 'type' of bar code they would prefer - i suspect they do not know that there is more than one type available
lol.
I will persevere!

Right, i guess that you want to encode text and numbers then. That rules out the standard EAN 13, personally, i'd go for either code 39 or code
128 - the question is, what can they read and how much space do you have to print the bar code?
(the reason i'd pick these two codes is cause we have used them in systems i've developed - there may be more modern / efficient / robust
coding schemes)
