Uploading web site?

Hi,

What do I need to upload a website? Is it FTP software or something? Where can I get a free one?

I've just done a quick front page while I do my site, and don't know how to upload it!

Freeserve /wanadoo used to let you download a demo version of Terrapin , or you can get it from the Terrapin site I think.

If you are using Internet explorer just click this link, and type your username and password

ftp://locostsites.co.uk

and then copy and paste, like you would, on your my documents

if you are using firefox, you can download an ftp program here https://do-not-add.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=684 , and use that

Do as Phil suggests. Dont forget that the homepage file name should be either index.html or index.htm. And make sure you put it in the httpdocs folder on your webspace.

FTP is just like another folder on your computer, ie drag and drop works. (infact it will probably appear in your network places when you have visited it).
