Easy to use cad progs
I downloaded a free trial of TurboCAD Pro v11.2
But i just cant get on with it! Just seams over complicated, maybe with use and someone on hand to tutor me i could learn it? Have been using a free
version of Cadvance, but that seams to simple!!!
But iam wanting to get on with some design work so need to find a good alternative thats easy to learn. Dont need a fully all singing all dancing
comerical offering, just something that will do the job!
We used autosketch when i was at college. Seam to remember that being easy to learn! Is it just a scaled down version of autocad?

AutoCAD and its spin offs (TurboCAD included) are horrendous to use in my opinion.
If you speak to me nicely I can offer you a copy or ProD2000i2 (the old shareware version that was given out in schools a few years ago)

I agree about TurboCad!!!
Now, please please please can you offer me a copy of ProD2000i2 with a cherry on

I can work autocad and have proengineer 2000i as well but can I get to grips with proengineer can I hell. Anyone got an online tutorial address?

The help files are very good in ProDesktop, and I would assume they are in ProE too.
Work through some of the examples and all should become clear.

Can recommend Sketchup 5.0 mentioned on here recently. Like a cut-down, simplified version of most CADs but infinitly easier to use. Think the url may
be www.sketchup.com but not sure however a google search will bring it up. Free 80 hr download of full prog available at the website along with video
tutorials. This app is ideal for preparing working drawings of quite complex structures and I've already used in my work designing custom-built
exhibition stands.

Prodesktop
You need to use ProDesktop. Very easy to use and powewful enough to draw most things. I teach it to 500 13 year olds a year, and they all can use it,
so it can't be that difficult

I'm teaching myself how to use Turbocad and am not finding it too difficult, however I would like to try other programs, If David would be so
