cd draw

There maybe a small hole in the draw front use a opened out paperclip to release the mechanisam and the draw will open.

Failing that, remove CD drive from PC, open (with extreme prejudice, using whatever tools come to hand) to get your CD out, replace the drive with a nice £40 DVD writer, and save several hundred £££ to spend on the car

Laptops are great if you need portability, but the downside is that they're more expensive to buy, have less performance than a desktop, and are generally impossible to upgrade (so limited life). Unless you *need* portability, I'd stick with a desktop.

richard, i don't really use the full potential of this pc but i'm sick of it taking over my room and i've had 4 years of pretty trouble free use but the little things are starting to play up now, harddrive went a few months back, now the cd drive, just fancy buying myself a new toy while i'm off work over xmas.

i shall go find something to probe the hole and get it open
