Phone to computer
Daughter has an Erikson K700i phone with a broken screen. Wants to recover the photos stored on it without spending £70-£100 she has been quoted for
repair. (would rather upgrade to a better phone now)
Anyone any idea if this is possible? TIA

K700i has got bluetooth, if you have got the cd that came with the phone install the software to your computer them sync the phone and pc. You can
then download all to the pc. If you dont have the cd then download from sony ericsson website.
Im sure you can buy a new casing from ebay for the k700i they are not expensive.

I bought a new cover (front & back) for mine and I think it cost around £15. If it's the actual LCD that's broken I guess it may be
difficult to set up bluetooth. I think you can also back up you phone to the Ericsson website too but again you have to set it up on the phone I
think.
I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.

Should be able to do so via bluetooth, but I think you need to pair the 2 devices - tricky if you can't see the screen.
Alternative is to get a cable that connects the PC and phone - no setup needed on the phone for that
For either of these, you'll need the SonyEricsson PC Suite

You can infra red it too. I do it with mine.
If itl turn on and you an see the screen its easy enough. If not youl have to remember which buttons to press.
Everything involves getting a cable or an infra red/ bluetooth dongle.
The cable will allow you to control the phone from your pc so may be thats your best bet.

Screen has gone so can't set up blue tooth, which she doesn't normaly use. Sounds like a cable may rescue the phones contents. Just need
to get one!
Thanks guys.

take it to one of these phone unlocking shops and they will probably do it for you for a few quid and stick them on a CD.

Or find someone who has the same phone who can talk you through which buttons to press to turn the bluetooth or IR on. Im sure some one on here will
have one they arent that uncommon.

i agree
woudl do also the last one...
i cant imagine you cant see nothing att all?
you could also buy the same phone on ebay and just switch the display part your self.... (@ least to setup bleutooth..) altough it maybe
expensive...
i would try to setup infra red using an talker/quide iwth the same tel.
infared is just question of enable/disable and bluetooth has to do with passwords/nicks etc. more hassle.
