Backing up DVD's

So I want to back-up some of my DVD's incase they are trashed by children. I have bought a DVD burner and a stack of blank DVD's. The DVD burner came with Nero 6.

So, what do I need to copy DVD's? Somebody meantioned DVD shrink, which I have downloaded, but, to be honest, I'm a bit confused as to exact what I need to be doing, and it what order.

So, an idiots guide would be great if somebody cares to help?
