Can't Open Word:(

I've tried opening word via usual route, and opening a word doc from "My docs" but am getting the message:

GetCursorPos">> in USER32.dll

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Simon

Do you get the same problem with excel etc?

Have you tried just restarting your system?

user32.dll is a windows operating system file and it controls several thing to do with the GUI. It could be corrupted, but its very difficult to replace it as it is always in use by the system. It could be that windows has partially corrupted the file while its been in use. A restart ought to fix that...

On the other hand several viruses try to infect the file, and some are successful. But i doubt thats your problem, as usual infection of the user32.dll file results in windows ending up doing enless restarts.

I know this hasnt been much help...
