Ebay AC/DC Tig
Anybody bought one of these cheapo AC/DC Tigs from Ebay
at £500 delivered it seems fairly reasonable. It also looks very like an equivalent sized
Butters (£1239)

have heard mixed reviews.
It is the same as the butters machine as far as I can see. but I know of 3 now that have gone pop inside the first year.

PS don't forget you need a foot pedal as well if you are going to use the AC function, you won't do ally without it!

How do you use a foot pedal when you are not at a bench?
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

with difficulty!!!
My TIG is "bench based" anyway now, the power supply is hard wired as its far too big for any plugs that are available!!! (other than 3
phase ones)
TIG really is a bench based job though, you really want to be sat down comfortably and working on a nice earthed steel bench top.
With my setup the torch cable is still long enough that I can go without the foot pedal and run the lead into the workshop to do chassis welding etc
as well.

Tig Welder
Hi
Also be careful as you have to add on 17.5% vat to that price plus 2.7 % for duty payable on invoice value. other than that seems a good price
Thanks Chris
