Hard Drive jumper block set-up
So I have installed 2 x SATA Segate drives. Do I have to mess with the jumper blocks to get them to work as a primary drive to run windows from, and a
secondary drive to store My Docs on?

assuming they're IDE (wide ribbon cable) then you'll need to either set one as master and the other as slave, or both to Cable Select (CS)
and let the PC sort it out.
If SATA then they're run off separate cables and nothing to configure.

As far as I know SATA drives dont use jumper blocks...
If they do, the jumper configs should be stamped or printed on the drive case.

Pretty sure SATA drives are 'cable select' as standard.

the only jumper setting you (sometimes) have to worry about with s-ata is if it doesnt boot the drives, the jumper reverts s-ata 2 drives to work with
s-ata one controllers
in other words, dont worry !

All SATA drives are master as they all work off dedicated controllers, you cant have 2 on the same cable, nothing to do, if they are different sizes
though i would use the3 smaller one as your Operating System Disk. Best practise would say use the lower sata port no for your OS but in practise it
doesnt matter.
