Microsoft Office 2000 help
Very simple fault, if you type in word excel etc 2004 it auto corrects it to 2005, as if it were a spelling mistake. I have turned off the dictionary
that didn’t work, I’ve turned off auto correction that didn’t work, I uninstalled it and reinstalled into a different directory, that didn’t help
Anyone got any ideas ?

Try turning off Autocorrect and maybe autoformat. see if that helps

Oh if that fails, do a search for normal.dot and rename it to normal.old then reopen word.

Maybe, click on the 'cell',
go to Format on the tool bar,
then 'cells'
Click on the 'number' tab
scroll down to highlight 'text'.
That should allow you to enter exactly what you want.

Edit to say... the above is for Excel not Word

Disable "Autocomplete cell values" in option-edit and "ignore word with numbers" in options spelling.
