No dvd drive

Hi all
Has any one had a problem before where the dvd drive does not show an icon in my computer?
For some reason it now appears as a removable media card reader!!
When I go into device manager it appears there alright, with no indicated problems.
If I select properties on the card reader icon to change it to a dvd drive it will not let me.
I've uninstalled it, re-installed it, updated & rolled back the drivers, even done a system restore......same result....
No change

Any one got any ideas??

Could be a corrupt icon cache?

Download TweakUI

Click here for Microsoft Tweak UI - excellent little app!

Install it.

Start - Programs - Power Toys for Windows XP - TweakUI.

Last option is repair. Select Rebuild Icons and then click " Repair Now"

Log off computer and back on again...

Hopefully fixed?!

Cheers
