Realigning video and audio on WMV

Hi All,

I have a wmv file with out of sync video and audio. Any ideas if it can be separated and realigned?

Thanks,
Steve

Using certain video editing software you can. I use Sony Vegas and that has seperate channels for video and audio.

Try windows movie maker, might have the same function.

You can do it with Windows moviemaker.

import your video.
drop your video into the time line.
mute the audio of your video.
drop the video into the "Audio/Music" line.

you can then adjust the position of that audio in relation to the video, trust me it works, ive just tried it.

edit: i think it works.....lol

defo sorted how to.

1. import your WMV video.
2. drop into "audio/music" timeline.
3. save movie ( it will save as WMA audio file).
4.start a new project.
5. import WMV video.
6. drop into Video timeline.
7. Mute the audio of that video back clicking on the audio timeline and select mute.
8. import the WMA audio file you have just saved.
9. drop that WMA file int the "audio/music" timeline.
10. adust it in the the timeline to match the video.

then resave movie.
