Control Panel Problem

I am having a minor problem with Win XP Pro.

When you open Control panel/ Add or Remove Programs it populates the form with about 5 of the programs then leaves a huge gap and populates the rest of the programs at the bottom of the form.

How do I get rid of the gap?

Re-install XP looks like a glitch... shouldn't erase anything but will correct this error.

Ivan,

Do you have anywhere an installed program that is idented in the list on Add/Remove programs?

Apparently, this is due to an un-installed program not registering properly in the registry. It should have a -1 against it in the registry instead of a 1.

See THIS LINK http://forums.tweakguides.com/showthread.php?t=2024

It mentions Autocad but would be specific to whatever program you have uninstalled.

Hope that helps

Thanks Tigger and Steve - I will follow up on Tigger's suggestion first and will lay off Steves as I am currently busy with a time critical consultancy job and don't want to risk messing with the opperating system until the job is over - and yes autocad was recently installed.
