Free FTP?
Hi guys
I'm looking for an FTP programme for my laptop. I've got Terrapin on my PC which I had on a CD with the 'crack'. I Can't
find the CD but need to be able to FTP from my laptop. Any Locost options?

The real locost option is to use the built-in FTP client, may not be user-friendly but it does the job

WS FTP LE from download.com
Or, you can use the more recent versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox by substituting the HTTP:// in the address bar with FTP://

For setting up a FTP server I use Home Series FTP server. For downloading I use ws-ftp or the command line ftp command.

Filezilla by a country mile --- unless you use Firefox in which case Fireftp is a neat bit of software.

If I'm doing more than I can be arsed to do from a comand line I tend to use Smart FTP or very occasionally FireFTP. Internet explorer does have
built in FTP support but it's a bit limited and in my experience very unreliable
