cheap laptop deals

hi iam looking at buying a laptop there a lot of deals at the moment at currys and other places. are these laptops any good . i only use it for the net on wifi.
as mines broke my kid pulled it o the floor when i left it on the chair to go to the bog lol. so iam having to use the works computer which is a pain in the bum.

Asda and tesco had some cracking deals on acer stuff recently, maybe worth a look, downside though all have vista preloaded. nicely spec'd for xp pro though

Comet had a good deal on a locost Toshiba

Also lots of good deals on Fujitsu-Siemens ---- which are very very reliable pro grade equipment.

Beware Acer --- never had a good experience with any PC made by them
