One or two pc problems
Two problems. Possibly related but i am not sure.
1. Windows downloaded updates do not install on shutdown as they should
2. Whenever i start my pc up, the explorer bar crashes and i have to go into task manager, end explorer and the restart explorer.
Anyone got any idea's?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

windows explorer or internet explorer?
I'll try and cover everything then!
Either way hit F8 during start up, go into safe mode, go into control panel and add and remove software section and remove anything that looks dodgy.
Especially Toolbars or Shopping Helpers.
Click on start and then run and type in the run box prefetch and delete anything in there. Do the same again but type temp
Open Internet explorer, go to Tools and then Internet options on the General Tab, delete you Temp Internet Files and the offline content as well.
Again on the tools menu choose Manage Addons disable anything that looks dodgy.
Start button then Run, in the run box type msconfig and press enter. A grey system configuration box will appear, go to the services tab and at the
bottom hide all MS services, on the remaining services untick again anything dodgy, doesn't matter if you untick too much you will just get so
warning/error when you restart your pc, just take note what they are and go back into msconfig and tick them back on.
Next to the services tab is Startup tab do the same untick wierd stuff.
Restart your machine and do a full anti virus scan and defender scan ( download it and install if you haven't got it already from MS)
Hope this helps
Rich

Easy fix. Go to nearest Apple shop and buy a Mac.

I had that with a customers PC. I had to remove the updates and stop auto updates in the end. I think a driver update was causing some mobo
conflicts.
