What 2 sites, maybe they have an activex control or java plug which may need reinstalling on your pc if it's got busted.

Tried deleting your temp internet files?

Any chance you've done your windows updates recently and the IE crash is with urlmon.dll?

There's a bug with one of the updates and IE6 on XP Sp2

Unzip this linky and apply the IE6SP2_Hotfix_KB942367_aktivieren.reg reg file (double click then click OK).

May need to restart but if you close all your IE windows and then re-open it should be fixed.

DUMP IE and use Firefox.... as Firefox is the most popular internet browser now, why aren't you keeping up?

Unfortunately it's not, by a long way. Even the most optimistic figures put it's usage somewhere around 30-35%, more commonly it's quoted around 10-15%. The majority still agree that around 80% of users are on IE.

Most popular alternative, certainly.

I saw some figures that stated FFx (it is the most popular alternative though) was the most popular - however having looked at other stats it's not the case. General concensus states that IE has approx 3 times more users than FFx... However stats are whatever you would like to make them...

Opera is also quite a good browser, although it does display this forum in a strange way (all the cells are centre-justified).

Apart from that, it's a very competent browser - but I'll still stick with Firefox.
