my brother does the same thing for actors showreels. for the life of me i can't find his website.
anyway, he learned HTML the and just uses windows notepad to write everything, including webpages, the autorun thing on the CD, everything. i think thats the best way rather than using software like dreamweaver or anything

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

In the file menu of powerpoint 2003 their is a "Package for CD" option that creates all the files needed to autorun a cd, you can choose a folder whilst messing about however then burn to cd when happy.

Also, burn it onto a credit card sized CD, look a bit special and will make your company more memorable.

use flash. You can get the mini cd's about 3" diameter. Thats what I used for giving to the press at a exhibition.

Personally I'd use Vegas or Adobe Premier - both Video Editing Software packages. Flash is quite basic in its functions and not so user friendly.

Using clean fancy effects will engage your target audience a little better. I've done this for years and providing you can get a new prospective company to insert your disc you need to make an impact within 10 seconds.

You need to get across your USP's as quickly as possible and using Video is the quickest way. Powerpoiint is also too basic, even 2007 with all it's swishness is IMHO not enough.

As a young lad you have some belting ideas - I wish you luck!!!

Steve

If you use Power Point or open office be sure and included the MS Power Point viewer.

However in my experience people can't be bothered with flash movies and the like my advice would be to use straight HTML to make web pages on disc and use a freeware program to create a file to make it autostart under windows.

every cd drive i've ever seen has said DON'T use them cds in it. i know it's probably just covering their backs BS type stuff, but surely anything that might stop them putting the cd in their computer, is a possible waste of a contract.

everyone would be happy to use a full size cd, so then it's only distribution that comes into question.

Free Software

Open Office -- free and available for most operating system.

In addition for HTML Mozilla Seamonkey comes with a built in HTML editor --- again free and available for most operating system.

For a tool to create autorun.inf file for the cd just google for: autorun.inf freeware windows .
