Yes but 2007 is better if you can run to it.

Where do you work?
If you work in the NHS you can get some very good deals on MS products
I bought Office 2007 for less than £20 last year.

2007 would be good if I had it.
I don't work in the NHS so a £20 version is out of it for me.(unless anyone can help)

I got a cheaper way to buy Office 2007
buy this
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123073
Then instead of buying the media pack you just go to the download area detailed in the license pack and download the images.
then you have office 2007 for £156
or if you want free try http://www.openoffice.org

Try getting a copy of the student version, it's just under £80 if you google it. The student version contains Excel, Powerpoint and Word, enough
for most people.
If not, do you use it at work? The licence we have (work at a college) means that technically our staff can use the software at home for free, we just
get charged a small admin fee for ordering disks.
This (https://www.software4students.co.uk) is by far the cheapest place to order from, but you may have trouble if you don't have a
son/daughter to register "on behalf of"
