PDF to Word?
I know this is way off topic but:
1 I'm struggling here, and
2 I'm sure there are lots of kind comptuer literate people who could very quickly point me in the right direction.
I'm preparing a presentation to (I hope) get a job! I've got some diagrams on my PC stored as PDFs. I simply want to be able to paste the
diagrams into a Word doc.
It's that simple but apparently beyond me

VERY quick lazy method....
Open the PDF's.
Press "Print Screen" on your keyboard.
Launch Word...
Edit - Paste (or right click paste)
Crop the images to show just what you want!
There's other easy methods but this is quick and requires no skill or software!
Cheers

Don't think it's a standard function on either Adobe or Office. You'll need to download some software, whack the words - convert
.pdf to .doc, into Google and that should come up with a few on free trial?
Dependant on how it would come out you could try screenshot it, export to word and then crop to size??

Install this print driver it will allow you to print the PDF as an image which you can then insert into word

Use the image selct tool in Acrobat Reader (next to the text select tool). To copy it, Draw a box around the image you want, then just paste into the
word doc as normal.
Edit, just noticed the latest version of reader doesn't have the image select tool. Now when you hover over an image the pointer will change to
a crosshair, drag a box round the image and then use Edit>Copy or press Ctrl^C as per usual.

I'm not sure which version of Acrobat you have, but this is what I do.
Open both documents. In Acrobat, there should be a button that looks like a camera with a box around it in dotted lines. Click on that tool, then
draw a box around the diagram. That should paste it automatically to the clipboard.
Change to word and use the insert image option from the edit menu.
There is also a select text option which looks like a "][t" which you can use to copy text from a pdf, but it usually needs re-formatting
once you have inserted it.

If only the IT support desk at my work was this efficient! 4 replies in a minute!
Mind you, if they weren't all wasting their time on internet forums all day, they might be!

Download Acrobat reader 8.
Click on image, it will go blue, press ctrl+c. The go to word and press ctrl+v.
Sorted.
Also works with text in Acrobat reader 8, although you will lose any formatting on the text.
