It is PCIe, but its not a full 16x bus one.

Its not 1x either as thats just the first 25mm of connector.

I think its a 16x slot but only a 4x card, hence full length but with parts missing.

As FBI Said -

They Are PCI-E, but not using all the connections for a 16x slot.

We bought some cards like that a while ago for some of our IBM/Lenovo Thinkcentres so that the users could use a twin monitor setup

I think Thats what they tried to do for me .

BUT

I had specified 'Dual DVI' the soloution they sent me was 1 vga ( mother board ) and one DVI from the card shown in the original post !!

Why can suppliers supply what I ask for not 'What they Think' I need )

Best get some cards Ordered on second inspection it looks like the riser card can be 'fillped' ( rotated 180 deg ) to enable a full length PROPER PCI card to be fitted rather than the one shown .

Many thanks for confirming that it is not a standard PCI x16 anyway .

Kind regards

yes, ours ended up being 1 monitor on DVI, and the other on D-sub.

There was quite a bit of difference in colour between the 2 screens. both connections using the same model of monitor. The monitor connected by DVI had much more vibrant colours
